Best Base Locations in Palworld

Real estate agents love to say it's all about location, location, location — Palworld's base-building is no different, minus the open-house cookies and plus a real chance the neighbors want to eat your Pals.

A good spot usually comes down to four things: how many different Pals spawn nearby (more elements covered means less backtracking to fill out a capture team), flat buildable terrain, proximity to a Fast Travel point or dungeon, and how dangerous the neighbors are.

Windswept Hills & Sea Breeze Archipelago

By documented spawn count, Windswept Hills is the single most Pal-dense region in this database — 32 different Pals spawn there, spanning all nine elements. It sits roughly in the middle of the map, which also makes it a reasonable hub for reaching most other regions without a long trek.

Sea Breeze Archipelago is a close second: 23 documented Pals, also covering all nine elements, plus coastal access for Water-type work stations. It's a common early pick because it's reachable soon after leaving the starting area.

Runners-Up

Marsh Island (25 Pals, seven elements) and Ice Wind Island (20 Pals, seven elements) are solid runners-up if you want something less crowded than Windswept Hills but still varied — Ice Wind Island in particular is worth it if Cooling work suitability matters for your build.

The Honest Caveat

This site's location data comes from documented Pal spawns, not from mapping individual ore veins, trees, or oil deposits. For raw resource nodes specifically, use the Interactive Map's resource layers to scout visually before you commit — Pal density tells you a lot about a region, but not exactly where the ore is standing. I wish I could tell you exactly which rock has your chromite in it; I can't, and neither can anyone else's map.

Whatever region you land on, flat ground matters more than the game tells you upfront — Palworld's base-building grid tolerates some slope, but steep or broken terrain quietly eats into your usable footprint. It's worth walking the actual spot before placing a Palbox, not just eyeballing it from the map. Ground floor plans always look better on paper.
